The Los Angeles School of Business' Plan for Success by 2025
The LA School of Business was soft launched in early 2023 with ambition for a full launch in 2024.
Our full launch is now underway, but we have ambitions that will lead us towards success. LASB will begin the process to become a fully accredited institution by Spring of 2024.
Accreditation is not an easy project to complete, but we feel it is a necessary one to help our students feel more assured that they are receiving a quality education. It is the goal of LASB to begin the process in Spring 2024 and reach candidacy before the end of the year. Once we reach candidacy, we expect to apply for ability to offer federal aid to qualifying students.
We expect to complete the process for federal aid and accreditation by Spring 2025 with an accreditor recognized as a regional accreditor.
Following the successful process, we will aim push forward with programmatic accreditation to further enhance marketability of our programs to new students and help job prospects of our graduates.
All previous graduates will have their credentials retroactively recognized as accredited, as is the norm in the United States.
Why does accreditation take so long?
Accreditation is seen as an option, not a requirement in the State of California and the United States. However, for those private institutions who choose to pursue accreditation, it cannot be done immediately for any cost. In the United States, accreditation is step-by-step process that involves patience and money. All private institutions who wish to become accredited must first operate as an unaccredited institution and graduate a minimum number of students for at least a one to two years, depending on the agency they are working with. LASB has met the time and graduate requirement, and will move towards the next stages in Spring of 2024. We look forward to becoming a fully accredited institution and further proving to our students and graduates that we have reached our goals.
In the meantime, we are allowing students who wish to join us early a special discount for both fully online and hybrid diploma programs. After LASB becomes accredited, our tuition rates will increase to a level to ensure sustainability and growth.
